Internet Marketing….. Why, How?

December 28th, 2008 ritzy No comments

Unfortunately the term Internet Marketing is so often used, people have become blase` about it. In reality the Internet is a real jewel to market in and a lot of people are either apprehensive about putting their toe in the water, or just shrug it off because they think its not for them…… All I can say is THINK TWICE about the opportunities that lie here.
Why?
From your laptop in any location in the world as long as you have an Internet connection you will have access to a growing market. The whole industry, including Internet banking has become easier and simpler (more customer orientated).
How?
Well that’s a big question. You can make it as difficult or as simple as you like. Instead of a conventional shop on the corner, you have yourself a website, blog or a news letter to keep in contact with your customers or clients. Of course you will always want to grow your customer base so you will need to set up a system to advertise. This is so people will find out about you and your products on the Internet.

This can be done as cheaply or as expensive as you want. The cheaper you advertise the more time and effort is required from you……..Setting up a Blog is the easiest and cheapest way to get yourself and your niche’s (multiple) out there to the world.

Remember with the Internet there are no country or continent boundaries….. To start off decide what is best for you and then stick to it until its perfected i.e. getting the results you are looking for, stay focused…..

Here’s a short checklist in choosing a niche product to market and how. (Start of with one and then add to it).

1. What are people interested in, are willing to spend money for and what are you interested in or have knowledge about. This business could last a number of years so you need some fun and motivation to carry you through.

2. You will want to sell information products such as eBooks, audio or visual, membership sites such as clubs, forums, workshops and so on. These could be on weight loss through diet and exercise. How to lift those sagging body parts. How to revitalize your lifestyle though developing healthy habits. How to choose your wardrobe to suit your body and personality type. Finding love and keeping it. How to stretch your income and enjoy it. Parenting or relationship problems. How to improve your golf handy cap by three and so on.

3. Deciding on a Domain name (called URL). This is important as this is the introduction the world will have to your blog/shops site . It needs to be catchy and related to your niche, as short and as easy to spell as possible and end in .com unless there is a very good reason to have a . org or .net.  Domain names can be bought anywhere  but I recommend: www.GoDaddy.com

4. Hosting site…. I use Hostgator to host my sites. I can host as many domain names at no extra cost. This means all my different niches and campaigns can be managed through one account for not a cent extra. I have access to free website tools such as Fantastico and WordPress to build my site and have a cpanel to manage my site with. Really recommended:Hostgator.com

5. Always be list building…..Building your list of people who are interested in your niche (potential customers) is the foundation to Internet marketing. You need to capture your readers primary e mail address in order to send news letters to. It is vital to your business to build a relationship with your readers so they can get to know and trust you. This is done by giving good advice and promoting products that you use personally or know are worth while.

6. Follow up the people who buy from you to find out if they are happy with your product, need help or have any questions.  They will more likely to buy from you again. So many customers are lost due to poor follow up. It is better to keep a customer than finding some one new to sell to…

7. This is easiest done using an auto responder and setting up an Opt in form or what is called a SQUEEZE PAGE. This captures the interested person’s email address, sets up an automatic thank you response, manages news letters and is used to send out broadcasts to your customers about new products on offer. The auto responder I use and recommended is:Aweber.com
Remember by setting up a squeeze page or op tin box you start to develop a list of potential customers interested in your niche…….

When videos started to grow popular on the Internet in
the past couple of years, the Internet Marketing
landscape started to change.

Affiliate Marketing was not exempted, either.

The most classic mistake people tend to make in
affiliate marketing is not capturing the opt-in leads
first before sending their visitors to the merchant’s
website.

So what smart marketers often do is that they would
have their own Squeeze Page for the visitors to opt
into their list, before sending them to the website
they are an affiliate for.

This is so the affiliate marketer can build his own
opt-in list and do his follow-ups later.

A few but exceptionally smarter marketers, on the other
hand, take this to the next level.

==> THEY IMPLEMENT VIDEO MARKETING, TOO.

You probably notice most top Internet Marketing experts
are now using videos on their Squeeze Pages. And
smarter affiliates are also doing the same for their
own, for one obvious reason:

==> VIDEOS CAN SKYROCKET YOUR TRAFFIC AND SALES
CONVERSIONS!

Unfortunately, the problem with video marketing is that
to begin with, you have to know how to make your own
videos.

And even if you could do your own videos, what if you
learn that the affiliate program doesn’t convert well
for you after all?

Affiliate Power Videos remove all these barriers.

affiliatepowervideos

At Affiliate Power Videos, you get 10 unique, high
converting Video Squeeze Pages, and 5 new ones every
month.

So all you have to do is:

Step 1: join any or all of the listed affiliate

Step 2: Upload the video and squeeze pages to your web
host

Step 3: Start driving in traffic, build your opt-in
list and rake in affiliate sales!

You might be thinking that this is going to be a costly
monthly membership – maybe $97, $197 or even $297 a
month.

You’re going to be in for a pleasant surprise — this
one’s on the house (read: zero cost)!

Here it is again:

Firepow Blogging Software Review

December 24th, 2008 ritzy No comments

If you’ve heard about this new blogging software called Firepow around the web, you’re not alone.

Basically Firepow is a blogging software but with a whole lot of features
stacked on top of it… features that seem to make it a pretty darn interesting little (or big) tool.

It’s based on wordpress, and begins by installing you a nice wp blog – in fact is REALLY nice – you can create your own blog theme from scratch if you want, with the advanced theme generator and then select from a list of all the plugins under the sun, to have installed and activated on your blog with no further action from you.

Then you can go about adding your content – you can set the content to appear on schedules, including into the future, plus you can take advantage of other people’s content via various means…

It also has a focus on video content, more relevant video on your site can only be a good thing – oh and as well – they just released that there will be an “add camtasia video plugin” so you can easily get camtasia vids on your blog without using youtube… which if you’re in internet/software niches is a BIG plus.

Anyway after your blog is looking good with all the cool content, Firepow helps you generate traffic and promote your site around the web. To get traffic you can promotion of your site through an in house network of blogs owned by Andrew which you can use to obtain links and a few extra visitors.

Finally Firepow lets you manage your sites too. You can view and make changes to your multiple sites from the one control panel, as well as monitor certain aspects of them.

One plugin allows a user to split test variations of posts you make to see what generates the most click throughs. That alone makes this product exciting for me.

If you want to check out more of Firepow for yourself, click here.

The 3 Easiest ways to get targeted blog/ website (niche) traffic.

December 14th, 2008 ritzy 2 comments

We all want traffic coming to our blog/ website and the easiest way is to follow these 3 steps.
You do not just want any traffic but want to target mainly people who are interested in your niche or passion topic to visit your site. These are the people who want what you offer and are more than likely to keep coming back.
So how is this done?

1. Write articles on your niche and submit them to article directories related to your subject. This way you are targeting an audience that are searching for your material. Offer good quality content that is interesting, informative and innovative, all related to your site that you want traffic coming to. At the end of your article offer a compelling free gift or incentive for the reader to click on the link that you add to your resource box to promote your site.

2. Press release promoting your new blog post using twitter, tweetmyblog, stumbleupon, delicious, technorati, face book, onlywire or any other social network.

3. Back links from popular websites related to your niche topic. Type your blog/ website key word phrase into google search and then visit the top 20 sites in your niche. Have a look through and see if you can comment on their material. Give good value added suggestions, ideas or opinions to your comment together with your website link at the end. This way the search engines visiting their site will follow through to your link and index/ rank it. Visitors looking through the comments will be curious for more information that you have to offer by following your link.

These 3 easy ways to get targeted traffic cost you nothing but your time and effort. By offering quality content establishes you as an expert that people interested in your topic will want to hear more from. This will get them to keep coming back.

blog post writing- get paid to blog.

December 12th, 2008 ritzy No comments

In this difficult economic environment we could all use a little extra income right?

Can you create great blogs, have great blog ideas, and create great blog posts- why not get paid to blog? There are bloggers making over $500 a month doing just this, without much effort.

Blog post secret. In the blogosphere there are bloggers who will pay for blog content to be put on their sites. The rise of the blogosphere has brought new opportunities to bloggers needing some extra green stuff by providing content for time strapped business people that need their blogs updated. Do you have some extra time each day to get paid writing blogs?

Type into your google search bar “paid blogs” and see all the sites you can check out. I earn no commission telling you this, but this is what I found :-)

www.PayPerPost.com is an incredible new self-service marketplace that allows you to get paid to blog about the products, services and websites you love. comment on blog and get paid.

Well what are the draw backs to being paid to blog?

1. Instead of focusing your efforts on your own blog website, you are building someone else’s.

2. Need to set aside at least an hour a day to write and post at least two articles.

3. Some days the assignments available may not generate the $10 per article that you are looking for.

4. Need a key word tool to find key words that draw traffic.

5. Need to do research on certain assignments to write quality and interesting content.

So this is how you go about getting paid to blog. Good luck….

Amateur Blog. Things to consider when starting as a Newbie blogger .

December 10th, 2008 ritzy No comments

We all have to start from some where. The decisions we make at the start as a newbie may have a huge influence on the final out come.

For most of us getting our toe into the water is the easy part. Making the decision to dive in and swim is another. We could be afraid because we do not know how to swim or may feel that the water is too crowded?
If you want to learn to swim, getting in the shallow end would be best to gain confidence. A few people once in the water decide that this is not for them and never swim again, others just love it and have great fun enjoying the experience. A swimmer may find a certain style that they are good at, they focus on that discipline to go on to be Olympic super stars and win gold. No one for sure knows how it will all pan out, surffice to say all the champions  work and train very hard perfecting and honing their skills. They need persistence, dedication, determination and resolve to do well.

For the blogger signing up to Google Blogger for a free Blogger.com or a WordPress.com blog would be an easy learning to swim way of starting. The instructions are very simple to follow and in no time you could be on your way blogging. This is where you learn by trying different styles to see what suits you best. Remember the true saying “Incorrect action is better than no action to find your style”.
To become a blogging super star though, this is not the pool to be swimming in, so do not stay too long here.

These “newbie” free sites are definitely the easy way to learn but do have many draw backs for the long term blogger.
1. The site does not belong to you so would be difficult to sell at a later stage.
2. You have little control and if the site closed down, all the hard work put into your blog could be lost.
3. It takes time to build your blog name, to make it something special but it will still look amateurish.
4. Your hosts may want to put advertising on your site and capitalise on your hard work.

In the long run and if you want to be a serious blogger the best advice would be to decide on your blogging topic, think carefully about a short catchy domain name and register it for your self.

1. This name becomes your personal possession.
2. You will have complete control over everything from choosing your web host, developing the site, adding advertising and content, right through to selling it if you want. Just look what the name Google means today.
3. Having your own domain name will also give a feel of professionalism to your blog.

To help you set up your own blog, a membership site I recommend is the one that helped me get this one going. Your first months membership cost I think is $1. Try it out and see how easy it is to follow from step by simple step video instruction. If you do not like what you see- cancel your subscription.

If you are any thing like my there is so much to learn you will get stuck in to never look back at your amateur blog status. Newbie List Building Club.

Incorrect action is better than no action. Take heart.

Amateur Blog, How do I start a blog, things to consider?

December 6th, 2008 ritzy No comments
Presently, we can definitely say that online communications are probably the most successful and effective ones worldwide; they save money, time, while also allowing transactions, commercial advertising and even business administration.
Blogging is part of this general trend of putting everything on the web, regardless of whether we are talking about business, hobbies or personal stuff.
There are some basic guidelines that lie at the foundation of any blogs; therefore, we could say that you need the ABC of blogging before actually starting to enjoy it. The most important thing for the creation of the blog is to define it’s purpose:
What is it created for?

There are some people who choose to create a blog on their own, whereas others prefer to hire some pro to set things on the right track. First of all, before starting the actual blogging project, you’ll need to create a detailed plan in which to include: objectives, investment with the analysis of cost (time and money), targeted audience, blog updates and administration and monitoring tools.

Blogging is a very accessible thing to do for both business and personal reasons, nevertheless, its real value is obvious when it attracts relevant visitors/traffic.

There are all sorts of issues you need to take into consideration; search for special software that helps you track the best keywords you should include in the articles posted on the blog!

This means of attracting traffic by identifying the keywords that are the highest in demand goes hand in hand with special devices that help one evaluate the keyword performance over a specific period of time. Thus, all Internet users interested in blogging, particularly business owners who use blogs for promotion campaigns, need to learn as many SEO secrets as they can, since they have to optimize not just the blog content as such but the ads that appear on it as well.

Another important issue when starting a blog is the content; keep in mind that the best sites of this kind are the ones with highly interesting information. Search engines love great content and visitors linger more on your blog as well if the articles, the videos or the pictures are catchy.

For those bloggers who are also running their business online, a good word of advice here is the combination of informational articles and e-news letters. The users that subscribe to periodical informative bulletins should be offered all sorts of promotions and special contests to keep the interest vivid. More such tricks can be learned if you take the time to learn something on Internet marketing, it could mean a great deal for any new blogger.

The mentor that got me into blogging and helped me get this site up and going (I had no computer or marketing skills at all) was a 27 year old ex knife sales man that explains all this. He has a membership site that teaches (using clear video instruction all the in’s and out’s) that even I could understand. You can access it here if you are serious in getting into internet marketing. Ex knife sales man makes good in internet marketing.
