The Bloggers Most Overlooked Blogging Tool!

February 7th, 2010 ritzy No comments

======================================================

I heard the Australian Author Clive James say “He turns a phrase to catch the shine on it”.

What is it about words and the way we use them that makes such a dramatic difference to the way in which they are perceived? With new modern scientific advancement in technology, new frontiers are daily opening up our understanding of our mind and the way we live within our world.

What’s this to do with blogging? Well…

Scientists are now discovering what writers have known all along; words are not only understood but also felt! Our understanding and perception of words is influenced by our past and present experiences.

For example if I said “flushed”; what’s your immediate thought that comes to mind?

Would it be a picture of some horrid thing getting flushed away down the drain?

That experience of your last embarrassing or awkward moment?

Some juvenile emotion when meeting your teenage heart throb idol?

Could it be that intimate expression with your loved one or the idea of some heat flush caused by menopause?

You see your interpretation could be different for each stage of experience from your life.

The words we use make word pictures. We feel words and certain words form pictures in our minds.

I love the word “crisp” for instance, the crunch of fresh lettuce. A still winter’s morning, with snow hanging on the trees while breathing dragons breathe with each new exhale. Crunching on my favourite potato chip.  For you “crisp could mean something more?

Blogging is all about conveying thoughts, dreams, desires, experiences and ideas through the words we choose to best describe them. So the bottom line as a blogger; you need to identify who your prospect reader is and tailor your blog post to speak to them at their level.

Starting A Blog In The Self Improvement Niche?

January 16th, 2010 ritzy 3 comments

I remember before I first started this blog I could not decide what niche to write about. Since I was wanting to learning how to start a blog, I thought “I know, I will just blog about what I am busy with”! I was interested in blogging and reckoned on other people also wanting to learn how to start. I could blog about my growth, with all my mistakes and show others how to do it and avoid my errors.

As I found new information so I had new material to share. It was fun and exciting as I overcame new daily challenges. Now if you are thinking of going into the self improvement niche, I have something to share with you, but more of that in a moment.

Thinking about what you want to blog about can be a biggy. Do I have enough knowledge about this subject? Are there people interested in this to make my blog popular, so to make it worth my while? What benefit will I give to my readers? Will I continue to enjoy blogging about this? These are some of the questions that were running through my mind at the time. Perhaps these are some of your thoughts at the moment? If yes I have some great ideas to help you with.

I have come to realise how vast the self improvement industry is and the huge need there is out there…

Take for instance the searches made on Google for depression and anxiety. See for your self;

Go to: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and type into the search box ”anxiety”. There are over 2 million searches made on Google alone. In this financial unstable time, there is a huge need for help in this area.

Do you think your blog could be popular if you could help people in this area? Perhaps you may have suffered from anxiety at some point in your life and can empathise with others.  What did you do to get over this? Could you write about this? Do you think that you could monetize your blog in this area? Sure you could, there is a huge demand for these types of products!

Or have you or are you trying to quit smoking? Have you ever suffered from low self esteem? As you can see the list just goes on. There is little wonder that this subject of “self improvement” is a multi billion dollar industry and could be well worth your while.

To make it even easier for you to get your own quality products to promote on your blog, my partner has just released a Self Improvement- Private Label Products site;  PLR-Self Improvement.com. With these newly released information products; you can sell, break them down into lots of smaller blog posts, use them as articles to publish and brand yourself on other sites. In fact you could do basically do what you want with it.

For anyone starting out in the self Improvement niche this is a great opportunity to get for yourself further ideas and materials to blog and promote. Just click this link and you will be taken straight there: http://plr-selfimprovement.com/

To your continued success.

Need Ideas For Your Niche To Build Your Blog Around?

December 20th, 2009 ritzy No comments

Things to consider when starting your blog website.

Just like getting your domain name and blog title right , fore thought needs to be given on your blog subject or niche???

The BIG question is: What are you interested in? What is your passion? Setting up your own blog should be seen as a long term project, with long term commitment for it to be effective. Good content has to be continuously added, to bring your readers back for more. This takes dedication on your part, so share what you are passionate about. This makes it fun, as you share what you love.  Doing this brings vibrancy and enthusiasm to your blog… Because you love what you write about, you have much to share. No writers block in this area!!!

It is normally best to keep your blog to a specific subject or focused niche

Finding the right niche within your passion is also key. Do a Google search for a “free key word tool”. Type in your niche name and see how many searches per month are made for this term. This will give you an idea on how popular that is. Most tools will also give other suggested phrases to think about to use as your base.

By making your blog focused on a certain niche helps the search engines source relevant content for it’s users who are looking for information. If you can give them what they are looking for, the search engines will match you up and bring visitors to your website. The more visitors the more successful your blog will become…

Inspiration on writing a blog. Here are seven blogging tips to help for blog ideas.

1. Think about what people who visit your blog want. Ask yourself, what problems are they experiencing that I can help with. When I started what did I learn to helped me to get to where I am now? These are ideas that can be formulated into something of benefit that you should be inspired to write about.

2. What have I recently learnt that was informative helpful, inspiring, humorous, or entertaining? Work this into your blog giving your unique flavour. As You grow share those benefits, solutions, ideas or even “struggles” to show that you to are human.

3. Sign up with www.Stumbleupon.com and get their weekly review of the most popular sites. Find sites relevant to your blog for ideas, tips or strategies.

4. Google trends is another site worth visiting to see what’s hot. Write about something of interest that you have found then point your readers in that direction. Out ward links from your blog are also good as it shows your readers that you care about them by offering something of quality. They will come back for more as regulars.

5. Write down a list of ten questions relating to your niche that your readers could be asking. Just do a google search ” intelligent questions on …….” you will be amazed at what questions get asked. This is a great way to jump in to give your input.

6. Use a good key word tool that gives alternate keywords and phrases. This I find is great inspiration for my heading. Once the heading is decided, just write down every thing you know  without really thinking. You can always come back to proof read it.

7. What up and coming important event is due? This can be the foundation to your blog ideas. Easter for example or the next big game. What plans, views or interests can you write about?

Inspiration for writing a blog is easy if you think about these 7 blogging tips and ideas.

Blogging – Ten sites you need to know

March 12th, 2009 ritzy No comments
Now that you are part of the blogging phenomenon that has spread all around the world, or you simply aspire to learn something about the online community, there is plenty of assistance you can find online to help you optimize your own blog the best way you want.

For instance, a host giant like www.xanga.com provides a great chance to start a blog on your own; it is a good opportunity for anyone interested in joining a world-wide community that shares pictures, videos, thoughts and points of view. Furthermore, you’ll also get precious information from many domains.

Another such great host site is www.myspace.com where you may register your blog under a variety of categories depending on the theme and topic. There is a wide selection of users and definitely good quality traffic if you make the blog worth visiting.

For those who want to make some money with their blogs, by advertising, I strongly recommend www.adsense.com, a Google-joint program that enables bloggers to make a really good income. How come? On this site you closely follow all the necessary steps to choose the ads (both images and text) that best match your blog content.

Blogging takes time and effort, and you can definitely avoid some mistakes other pros warn against by permanently inquiring on new stratagems to use with Adsense; after all you have to make as much money as you can. Hence, http://www.marketingquickiesv2.com/adsense-adwords-marketing.html is a site that should teach you something.

You should also need to subscribe to one of the many sites that provide blog lists so that you may be more easily found by interested users. http://www.blogcatalog.com/ is a good choice to promote your blog and create traffic.

In the same listing categories we have to mention the giant https://ecom.yahoo.com/dir/submit/intro/ that is one comprehensive directory where you’ll definitely want to have your blog subscribed. The problem here is it costs $299 per year to register. If this is a business blog it may be well worth the expense.

Need inspiration on what to blog on then look on further than www.google.com/trends. We should also point out to a “blog on blogs” that is definitely worth visiting given the large amount of information on the topic: http://www.problogger.net/. For someone who is just learning the rules of the game, there is much to find out here!

You may want to learn more about your the website by having a look at: http://website.grader.com/ . They give F-ree web analysis report to improve your page ranking in the search engines.

Last but not least, there are all sorts of professional sites that can help you with the tools you actually need for blogging. Here I refer to http://asymptomatic.net/blogbreakdown.htm and other similar pages that may guide and assist you in the attempt to find the software that best matches your blog.

Good luck!
