Blog Names- 5 Points To Consider In Naming Your Blog.

As a Newbie you need to decide what to name your blog or business. This is very important as this lays the foundation to your future success. What will Your Blog or business be Known By? This is the name by which people in your niche will know you by, so get it right by choosing wisely.

A huge mistake was made when this blog was named for example; The domain name “How To List Build” has very little relevance to “Newbies how to Start A Blog or Website”. The journey to this blogs success, with the Search Engines could have been quicker and more effective had the domain name been more focused on the blog content. There needs to be a relationship between the domain name and your websites purpose.

5 Points To Consider In Choosing Your Blog Naming.

-1. First decide what you want you want to do, write about, or go into business for and why ?

-2. Make your domain name short and catchy, a name that sticks in the mind of your audience.

-3. Choose a name that is relevant to what you want your blog, business or passion to be about.

-4. Branding and the importance of promoting an image. What’s in a name?

-5. Finding the right name that has not already been chosen. A .com is the name of choice but all the good names are mostly not available.

1. Decide what it is you want and why? If you get this wrong at the start, it is very difficult to change your domain name at a later stage, without losing out on all the work it took to establish your site. Have a clear idea on what your blogs purpose will be and then choose an appropriate domain name for it. It is important to get this right.

2. Make your domain name as short and as catchy as possible. It must be easily spelt, remembered and to the point. It has to stick in people’s minds like “Coke- Google- Twitter- BMW and so on.

3.  It should also include a key word that you want to target, so that the search engines can find, in order to index your website. A good name for this blog should have been: “NewbiesBlog.com”. This tells the search engines like Google what this site is about, so it can find relevant content for it’s searchers.

4. Branding a simple, short and sweet name is a lot easier than a mouthful, hard to remember one. A misspelt word will not find your site. CraigsList is sometimes spelt CraigesList, this takes you to another unknown one. Take this into consideration…

5. Finding the right name becomes a headache when you decide on a name, but none can be found that are now available from “.Com”.  A new Company has started, a “.WS” site selling .ws names (short for WebSite) Because it is new most of the names are still available for you to chose from. This is prime real-estate. Here is the address to go to:

E. Mail Marketing- The Success Formula That Buildings Your Own email Address List in Any Business (Online and Off).

How To List Build And Why….
Building a targeted Email address list is the most important and profitable online marketing tool for any business to focus on. This should be your foundation to any marketing campaign undertaken……
Using Email is an instant free connection to your market audience at a press of a button. As a marketer your objective is to build a “Large and Targeted” Email address list of potential customers that you can communicate with on auto pilot using simple online tools.
In this article I can just give you an overview on how this all works.

1. Getting email address of all customers buying from you is imperative. This is to follow up on customer satisfaction and to update any further offers that could be suitable to their needs.

2. Sending interested prospects to a landing page on a web site specifically designed to just collect their names and email address. This is to build what is called an Opt-in mailing list which is compiled with participants that have requested to receive information related to your specific topic, offer or product. There are a number of ways to get prospects to your site. Pay per click advertising (PPC), article writing, blog posts, viral marketing, using social net works and so on. Offering some sort of carrot or incentive will coerce them to exchange their vital details that are so essential to your business success.

3. Using an Auto Responder Service to manage your list on auto pilot. Emails that you wish to send are loaded into a system set by you and all the rest is auto pilot. Frequency of dispatch, time of day and even pdf files can be attached to the emails as a bonus. A double optin feature prevents any spam.

There you have it, Email marketing success formula to grow your business. The larger and more targeted your address list the more business you will bring in, plain and simple.

To help you set up your own website and autoresponder mailing list system, a membership site I recommend is the one that helped me get this one going. Your first months membership cost I think is $1. Try it out and see how easy it is to follow step by simple step video instruction. If you do not like what you see- cancel your subscription.

If you are any thing like me there is so much to learn you will get stuck in, to never look back at your business growth. Newbie List Building Club.

Amateur blogging, rookie blogger on a newbie blog.

New Year Resolution.
Find Your Voice, Start blogging.

We all need to start somewhere as a blogger and this is as good a place as any. An amateur blog resource you can down load for f*ree will give you all the low down that you need to get started with your newbie blog. Just leave your first name and primary email address and I will send you your own copy with my compliments. “Amateur Bloggers Tool, Check List and Recommended Resources”

Amateur Blog. Things to consider when starting as a Newbie blogger .

We all have to start from some where. The decisions we make at the start as a newbie may have a huge influence on the final out come.

For most of us getting our toe into the water is the easy part. Making the decision to dive in and swim is another. We could be afraid because we do not know how to swim or may feel that the water is too crowded?
If you want to learn to swim, getting in the shallow end would be best to gain confidence. A few people once in the water decide that this is not for them and never swim again, others just love it and have great fun enjoying the experience. A swimmer may find a certain style that they are good at, they focus on that discipline to go on to be Olympic super stars and win gold. No one for sure knows how it will all pan out, surffice to say all the champions  work and train very hard perfecting and honing their skills. They need persistence, dedication, determination and resolve to do well.

For the blogger signing up to Google Blogger for a free Blogger.com or a WordPress.com blog would be an easy learning to swim way of starting. The instructions are very simple to follow and in no time you could be on your way blogging. This is where you learn by trying different styles to see what suits you best. Remember the true saying “Incorrect action is better than no action to find your style”.
To become a blogging super star though, this is not the pool to be swimming in, so do not stay too long here.

These “newbie” free sites are definitely the easy way to learn but do have many draw backs for the long term blogger.
1. The site does not belong to you so would be difficult to sell at a later stage.
2. You have little control and if the site closed down, all the hard work put into your blog could be lost.
3. It takes time to build your blog name, to make it something special but it will still look amateurish.
4. Your hosts may want to put advertising on your site and capitalise on your hard work.

In the long run and if you want to be a serious blogger the best advice would be to decide on your blogging topic, think carefully about a short catchy domain name and register it for your self.

1. This name becomes your personal possession.
2. You will have complete control over everything from choosing your web host, developing the site, adding advertising and content, right through to selling it if you want. Just look what the name Google means today.
3. Having your own domain name will also give a feel of professionalism to your blog.

To help you set up your own blog, a membership site I recommend is the one that helped me get this one going. Your first months membership cost I think is $1. Try it out and see how easy it is to follow from step by simple step video instruction. If you do not like what you see- cancel your subscription.

If you are any thing like my there is so much to learn you will get stuck in to never look back at your amateur blog status. Newbie List Building Club.

Newbie Blogging Strategies to grow your on line business. Part 2

Ok, so you have decided on a niche to blog on, set up a Word Press, or a Blogging account, researched your niche and started blogging using all the tips given in previous posts of this Blog.

Great…. You have found products to promote, found ways to commercialise and capitalise your blog. Now how do you find and bring visitors to your on line web site?

Other than creating interesting and relevant content, using key word rich text, the next most important topic to cover is getting BACK LINKS to your blog.

Back links:

These can be created in a number of ways. Signing up with various Forums in your niche, leaving quality comments on similar blogs ranking high in Google search results, writing articles on your subject matter, to post on various Ezine publishers such as Ezine Articles.com, and always leave your blog URL and key words to link back to your site. You want your URL on other sites but not in a way to cause spam. This is the basic HTML code that you can use on most sites to get an active back link.

<a href=”http://www.domain.com”>www.yourdomain.com</a>   will become www.yourdomain.com

You can write anything where it says www.yourdomain.com such as click here or your keyword subject title.

All this is to get the search engines coming to your site. The more relevant these sites to your niche that you link to, the better.

Another way is to set up another 4 to 5 sub niche blogs related to your MAIN NICHE. As an example: Main blog is called:” Christine’s Golden Labrador Breeding Program”. Now create other blogs around it, like “How to raise your Golden Labrador puppies the correct way” and ” Where to Finding Suitable registered Golden Labrador Males to breed with” ect.

Once you have set up and created unique content for these sub niche’s, create cross links (Back Links) as above to all these sites. The search engines will soon be crawling all over these sites bringing visitors interested in your niche. This is some hard work, but well worth it. Stay focused on this, get it right and all you have to do is keep adding fresh material to keep it interesting.

Stay tuned for more newbie blogging strategies to grow your on line business.

Do You Want To Start Making Money Online? – Start With A Blog!

Many people who want to start making money online face one common challenge – lack of money to get started. Starting an online business requires that you have a website, and it can be quite expensive to get a website set up. This is where a blog comes in!

If you are starting an internet business on a shoe-string budget and have limited experience, then starting with a blog is an excellent way. It will require a lot of your time however writing updates to keep your audience informed and the search engines like Google, MSN or Yahoo happy. This article outlines the key reasons why it is a good idea for you to start with just a blog.

A blog enables you to start earning money online quickly. As soon as you get your blog, you can immediately start to advertise your products or services or promote your affiliate programs. When visitors click on your affiliate links and purchase a product, you are paid a commission on the sale. These advertisements on the right are Google AdSense. When ever one of these links are clicked a small commission is generated to my account that I set up with Google. This is very easy to do. To set up an account go to :

Starting with a blog is cheaper than having a website built. There are many free blogging services, (www.squidoo.com ,  www.blogger.com )so you don’t need to buy a domain name, pay for hosting or pay someone to design a website.

Blogging is easy, no technical skills are required and anyone can do it. You can do everything yourself. Having a website would require you to have some technical skills or you would need to pay someone to build your website.

You do not have to spend a lot of money in advertising. In comparison to a website, it’s easier and quicker to drive traffic to a blog than to a website. By blogging consistently and using your keywords, your blog will get indexed quickly with the search engines, and you will start to generate organic traffic.

Blogging is a  fun and easy way to start. If you start your online business in a niche that interests you or that you know a lot about, you won’t find it difficult to blog everyday. This will improve your search engine position and drive traffic to your blog resulting in more sales!

Blogging is therefore a good alternative for online home business newbies who want to start making money at home but have little funds to get started. Start your own blog today and start making money online!
