Starting A Blog In The Self Improvement Niche?

January 16th, 2010 ritzy 1 comment

I remember before I first started this blog I could not decide what niche to write about. Since I was wanting to learning how to start a blog, I thought “I know, I will just blog about what I am busy with”! I was interested in blogging and reckoned on other people also wanting to learn how to start. I could blog about my growth, with all my mistakes and show others how to do it and avoid my errors.

As I found new information so I had new material to share. It was fun and exciting as I overcame new daily challenges. Now if you are thinking of going into the self improvement niche, I have something to share with you, but more of that in a moment.

Thinking about what you want to blog about can be a biggy. Do I have enough knowledge about this subject? Are there people interested in this to make my blog popular, so to make it worth my while? What benefit will I give to my readers? Will I continue to enjoy blogging about this? These are some of the questions that were running through my mind at the time. Perhaps these are some of your thoughts at the moment? If yes I have some great ideas to help you with.

I have come to realise how vast the self improvement industry is and the huge need there is out there…

Take for instance the searches made on Google for depression and anxiety. See for your self;

Go to: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and type into the search box ”anxiety”. There are over 2 million searches made on Google alone. In this financial unstable time, there is a huge need for help in this area.

Do you think your blog could be popular if you could help people in this area? Perhaps you may have suffered from anxiety at some point in your life and can empathise with others.  What did you do to get over this? Could you write about this? Do you think that you could monetize your blog in this area? Sure you could, there is a huge demand for these types of products!

Or have you or are you trying to quit smoking? Have you ever suffered from low self esteem? As you can see the list just goes on. There is little wonder that this subject of “self improvement” is a multi billion dollar industry and could be well worth your while.

To make it even easier for you to get your own quality products to promote on your blog, my partner has just released a Self Improvement- Private Label Products site;  PLR-Self Improvement.com. With these newly released information products; you can sell, break them down into lots of smaller blog posts, use them as articles to publish and brand yourself on other sites. In fact you could do basically do what you want with it.

For anyone starting out in the self Improvement niche this is a great opportunity to get for yourself further ideas and materials to blog and promote. Just click this link and you will be taken straight there: http://plr-selfimprovement.com/

To your continued success.

Need Ideas For Your Niche To Build Your Blog Around?

December 20th, 2009 ritzy No comments

Things to consider when starting your blog website.

Just like getting your domain name and blog title right , fore thought needs to be given on your blog subject or niche???

The BIG question is: What are you interested in? What is your passion? Setting up your own blog should be seen as a long term project, with long term commitment for it to be effective. Good content has to be continuously added, to bring your readers back for more. This takes dedication on your part, so share what you are passionate about. This makes it fun, as you share what you love.  Doing this brings vibrancy and enthusiasm to your blog… Because you love what you write about, you have much to share. No writers block in this area!!!

It is normally best to keep your blog to a specific subject or focused niche

Finding the right niche within your passion is also key. Do a Google search for a “free key word tool”. Type in your niche name and see how many searches per month are made for this term. This will give you an idea on how popular that is. Most tools will also give other suggested phrases to think about to use as your base.

By making your blog focused on a certain niche helps the search engines source relevant content for it’s users who are looking for information. If you can give them what they are looking for, the search engines will match you up and bring visitors to your website. The more visitors the more successful your blog will become…

Your Path To Self Discovery For Richer Written Blog Content.

August 10th, 2009 ritzy No comments

Blogging is pursued for many reasons and has its benefits, here is a proposal for another hidden reward if approached from a different angle. An angle of self discovery. Many miss this important side to writing that grows and matures us both mentally and spiritually. This brings with it provoking insights and innovative thinking to help us write our blog posts filled with richer, meaningful content.

When talking about self discovery, what I mean is discovering, understanding, then learning to tune into your inner workings of how your subconscious and your conscious work in unison. Once understood, you can learn to work with this relationship to become a better thought provoking writer. A thought leader in your blogging niche.

All successful writers operate in more than a mental capacity, they have learnt to operate in a larger arena that many have not yet learnt to use. By digging deep within them selves, they unearth missing clues, conundrums, ideas, insights which have gone on to inspire their readers. Using certain techniques, these writers have become the thought leaders of their time.

They operate in more than a conscious level, they have learnt to mine all their past and present experiences- their collective whole. They do this by engaging their subconscious mind, which works 24 hours and seven days a week to source information, analyze, make sense of it all, to then come up with answers to previous questions put to it.

It is important to understand how the brain operates so you can capitalise on this wondrous creation. When you walk into a room all your senses are on full alert, eyes, ears, our sense of smell and feel. The eyes for one, take a complete picture of it, just as a camera would. All this detailed information would just boggle your conscious brain, so this information goes into your subconscious for sorting and storage.

All the important aspects relevant to you at that moment are given up to your conscious and those are what you are made aware of, the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and textures that your subconscious knows are placed high on your priority list. This conscious side processes this information which then directs your thoughts, decisions and emotions. It is so busy with running your life that not much attention is directed to what else your subconscious has to offer.

The consequence of this is, most of this logged material gets buried or made redundant as new stuff becomes available. The good news is most of this is retrievable and accessed to add richer colour to your writing that you never knew was there. There are techniques you can learn that will help you get access and tap into this wealth of knowledge and experience.

The subconscious is more than just a storage facility, it is also a dynamic and powerful processor for creative and innovative thinking. This is where your genius lies, by simply learning to tune into your still small voice, amongst all the chatter, is the path called self discovery. By doing this, a new dimension to your blog writing will emerge, by producing richer, more interesting content. The great thing is any one can get access to it, if that is what they really want.

Writing- How to Cultivate a Positive Writing Attitude? 5 Tips to Work For You?

July 16th, 2009 ritzy 1 comment

Writing articles and publishing them on Ezine magazines are a great way to direct people to your blog. Your articles are picked up and read by people interested in your niche. If they like what they read they will want more from you. Back links are created to your website which improve its page ranking. All good…

If you need motivation to any writing, blog included, here is something that can work for you.

Nothing going right and you still need to write that article or blog post? There is a huge mountain of work you still need to do and you can’t seem to focus. No worries, I am here to show you a short cut that gets you going using The Power Of Choice, simply by choosing a positive attitude. This one decision that gets to make the difference between success and mediocrity or failure. Allow me to show you how to focus and you will see that article writing can be fun and rewarding, by just implementing a simple shift to your mind set.

If you have got to here, means that you have taken the first step to implementing the correct frame of mind, by wanting a positive writing attitude. You control what mood you want, by deciding on it and then taking the necessary action. It is as simple as that! It is a choice we make. Making this decision opens doors to new exciting, creative possibilities. To help you get there, here are 5 tips to work for you.

1. Think of some reward that you can reward yourself, for when you are finished?

Desire and a strong emotional surge are life’s strongest forces, getting you to take action to start! Once started it is easier to keep the ball rolling. Think up some reward that you will be rewarded with, when you have finished this scoop. What is in it for you that could bring you satisfaction of having finished it. It could be pride, self satisfaction / affirmation, taking one more step to reaching your goal or it could be just allowing yourself the pleasure of some small treat like a cup of milk chocolate or coffee?

2. Decide now that this is a opportunity to shine, have fun and it will be an enjoyable time.

Your writing attitude can never be one of have to!!! Always DECIDE that this is an opportunity now, to be taken, made the most of and enjoyed this very moment. By choosing opportunities and possibilities opens up new horizons and achievements for you. This is where fresh insights, ideas, inspiration are forged, molded and cast, so be open to receive them. Then act on what you get.

3. Determine that this piece is going to be great.

You go where you set your sights, your goals or intentions. Have a clear vision and see success and open doors ahead of you. Writing is your voice, so use it to make your message bold and strong. Always be aware of the choices you make and what attitude you decide on, because this will be reflected in the fragrance your piece that makes it stand apart.

4. The power of your intentions.

Make the whole exercise ahead of you a time to help and share with others. An opportunity to change peoples lives, to empower, motivate, educate, inform and create interest in new exciting concepts, strategies or opportunities. You have much to give, so get down and share those extraordinary pieces of wisdom trapped inside of you. Make a difference in yours and your readers lives by deciding to do just that. By making it a joyful experience, brings with it enthusiasm that inspires and motivates.

5. Visualise yourself having finished this article.

Once you have decided to do this and what it is you want as your reward, then focus, high light these anticipated pleasures and outcomes. Visualise yourself having finished this article and then bask in the delight and emotion of the moment. Start writing while holding onto the emotion of having received your rewards. This will drive you on to completion without any distractions.

By putting a reward system or anticipated treat in place and then looking forward to this pleasure, will surely cure any bad karma you may have had to writing this article. Doing this will bring focus and desire to finish what you start. Another by product to having a positive attitude brings with it an energy that is picked up to be enjoyed by your reader.

Make Money From Blogs. 5 Beginners Guide Tips

March 17th, 2009 ritzy No comments

Blogging is not a get rich quick scheme. What I have found is use blogs as a primary way to share a passion in getting quality content onto the web.

It has to be a passion on your part because in order to make it a money maker it needs persistence, enthusiasm and dedication. There are exceptions to this, if you’re a well known celebrity for instance. Other than that it may take time and a lot of work to become known and followed.

So here are my 5 blog beginners guide money making tips:

1. To successfully monetize your blog you have to make it a living personality that grows, communicates and interacts with your visitors. Make it a one stop resource centre that supplies as many benefits as possible. Always be on the lookout for new ideas, entertainment, information or resources for your prospects. Frequent forums within your blogosphere to find out what people want in order to know what to provide.

2. Find affiliates within your niche that you can partner with by promoting their products. For every sale made coming from you earns a commission. Two well known sites that offer digital products such as information eBooks and computer soft ware are: Clickbank at www.clickbank.com,  and  www.paydotcom.com.

3. Put Google adsence on your blog. All it is, is a code that you sign up for from Google to add in your Wordpress wigget area. This scans your blog for appropriate  products related to your blog content to promote. Every click earns you a commission.

4. Sign up with www.Amazon.com or www.Ebay.comto promote their physical products as a partner, for a small commission of course. Amazon has a number of promotions to choose from that you can add to your blog, all very easy to set up. With Ebay choose a product, write a review and promote that affiliate link.

5. Create your own product such as an ebook, using PLR products, audio Mp3 file or instructional video. Sign up with Paypal for example, set up a payment button to install on your site to take any payments for you.

Most of these affiliate sites have training videos helping you set up. If you get stuck do a web search, there is stacks of free training, especially on Youtube for you. Other wise leave a comment below and tell me what is on your mind. If I can be of help I’ll do what I can in helping you make money on your blog.

Build Blog Traffic Using Both Articles And Twitter.

March 14th, 2009 ritzy 3 comments

We all want more Blog traffic and the best solution that I have found is using this simple yet effective three pronged attack using blog posts, articles and Twitter.

1. Adapting my best blog post into +- 300 word articles.

2. Publishing these articles on ezine directories that have Twitter feed.

3. Actively building a Twitter following.

More on each of these:

1. Publishing articles in a popular Ezine such as www.ezinearticles.com is a great way to exponentially explode your exposure and expertise to people interested in your topic. Why? Because they are searching for information in that category. A targeted prospect interested in your topic… Search engines such as Google have much regard for articles published here. One article of mine has being read by over 750 viewers since December and is still working for me.

2. Publishing these articles on ezine directories that have Twitter feed. Some ezines, (in the author tools section) manages your Twitter details in order to broadcast to your followers your newly published article details. Of course when they read it, in the resource box you lace it with a compelling offer to visit your blogs squeeze page for your news letter.

3. Actively building a Twitter following. On Twitter you can find an enormous amount of interested people in your niche or passion topic. These again are a targeted audience that you want frequenting your blog… so go out and follow them. What normally happens they reciprocate back. A great force to use.

These three elements, blogs, articles and Twitter are what I am concentrating on now that gets me my blog traffic.
