8 Pointers On How To Write A Successful Article Or Blog?

What makes an article special? It is something that speaks to the reader to either provoke an emotional thought, is entertaining, interesting or is informative. Successful writing comes from following a few proven principles and using skills that can be learnt through study and perfected with practice. Here are 8 pointers on how to get your article or blog started.

1. Write on what you are passionate about.
This way your enthusiasm will shine through, and it is this that will in turn infect your reader with your exuberance. Remember it is your vibrancy and speciality that will make your piece stand out from the crowd. When you are busy with your feature, keep in the back of your mind that it is for your readers benefit, it is their approval you want. It is your audience, that will decide and judge if your offering is excellent or not…This is what gives the greatest satisfaction, getting their approval.

2. Be comfortable with your subject.
You must have sufficient knowledge or experience in it. If it is a set piece, approach it from a angle that you can relate to. This will mean that you have a firm grasp of the facts, information, terminology and have enthusiasm to carry through to your presentation. From this you can articulate your delivery in a flowing, interesting and informative way.

3. From the outset cultivate a positive attitude within your self.
As a writer you must decide that you are going to have fun, will enjoy this experience and will reap self satisfaction in successfully completing it. Now imagine your completed article that you are proud of. Plant this emotion of gratitude and satisfaction of a job well done within you. Nurturing this positive attitude goes a long way towards helping you creating your masterpiece.

4. Build from the foundation up.
Lay out, organise your thoughts to build some sort of structure. Jot down how you will build your thought piece. This means planning the sequence, from your introduction, to fleshing out the body for your content, followed by summing it all up with a well constructed conclusion. In other words your intro will explain what you are going to give your reader. In the body tell them what you got using supporting points, (When writing use these to benefit your reader that reflects the energy of your essay), then tie it all up with a conclusion.

5. Keep to the point.
Only write what is necessary, don’t ramble on or take a detour. Everything you put down needs to contribute and add substance to your build. No need for extra pieces sticking out, BUT make it unique. This means putting a little bit of your personality it to your creation. Some humour, whit, controversial idea or mystery could do the trick. This gives it warmth and life that touches and engages your audience.

6. People love stories, secrets, tips, tricks, mysteries, unexplained coincidences.
Share new ideas or answers . A story of some sort shrouded in mystery. To do this, promise to reveal some secret in your intro and only give it towards the end. This creates suspense and intrigue which is much desired.

7. Layout and presentation…
Start with an introduction where you inform your readership what to expect, then give them your message, body or meat followed by a conclusion. This is a summary to tie up your thoughts. Keep it simple. Use clear, crisp, concise sentences in a coherent manner. Your text should flow in an open and easily followed manner. Keep each sentence short and to the point, without making your paragraphs too long.

8. Express and inject some of your personality into your write-up.
Be generous with your information, methods, strategies, secrets, tips, tricks, wisdom and thoughts or ideas. Be bold and take a stand to be the “expert in your field”, if this is your passion then you would want to be that. The more you write so your skills as a writer will improve. No one was ever born a prestigious literary prize winning writer, these skills evolved and are honed through practice.

With these 8 pointers, writing excellent and successful articles will come with practice.

Make Money From Blogs. 5 Beginners Guide Tips

Blogging is not a get rich quick scheme. What I have found is use blogs as a primary way to share a passion in getting quality content onto the web.

It has to be a passion on your part because in order to make it a money maker it needs persistence, enthusiasm and dedication. There are exceptions to this, if you’re a well known celebrity for instance. Other than that it may take time and a lot of work to become known and followed.

So here are my 5 blog beginners guide money making tips:

1. To successfully monetize your blog you have to make it a living personality that grows, communicates and interacts with your visitors. Make it a one stop resource centre that supplies as many benefits as possible. Always be on the lookout for new ideas, entertainment, information or resources for your prospects. Frequent forums within your blogosphere to find out what people want in order to know what to provide.

2. Find affiliates within your niche that you can partner with by promoting their products. For every sale made coming from you earns a commission. Two well known sites that offer digital products such as information eBooks and computer soft ware are: Clickbank at www.clickbank.com,  and  www.paydotcom.com.

3. Put Google adsence on your blog. All it is, is a code that you sign up for from Google to add in your WordPress wigget area. This scans your blog for appropriate  products related to your blog content to promote. Every click earns you a commission.

4. Sign up with www.Amazon.com or www.Ebay.comto promote their physical products as a partner, for a small commission of course. Amazon has a number of promotions to choose from that you can add to your blog, all very easy to set up. With Ebay choose a product, write a review and promote that affiliate link.

5. Create your own product such as an ebook, using PLR products, audio Mp3 file or instructional video. Sign up with Paypal for example, set up a payment button to install on your site to take any payments for you.

Most of these affiliate sites have training videos helping you set up. If you get stuck do a web search, there is stacks of free training, especially on Youtube for you. Other wise leave a comment below and tell me what is on your mind. If I can be of help I’ll do what I can in helping you make money on your blog.

Niche Blogging, Passion Topics or Passion Markets?

Well these are one and the same thing. I kind of like passion topics because it sums up a growing market phenomenon that is taking the internet by storm. More and more people are searching the internet for information regarding their passions in life. They can do it from home, in their own time and are able to glean information from a global perspective with no barriers or boundaries to confine them.

Passion topics are also used in a profitable way to market to these searchers by understanding and supplying to their needs, in offering a solution, (help, information, product, tool ect.) to any these identified desires (Passion Markets). Because as the name “passion” suggests, desire over rides other needs and a purchase is more likely to follow if a compelling offer is presented.

So a passion topic is really a passion market depending on what side of the fence you are standing on.
Savvy Marketers are doing really well in this area even in a down turned recession climate as we have now.

WHY, HOW CAN THIS BE?
Every one of us needs a place to escape to. The escape from the harshness of all the gloom and doom that bombards us from every angle. This escape varies in each one of us, some find it in:

  • Sport (golf, cycling, football, rowing, yachting, boxing).
  • Hobbies (collecting, model trains/ cars/ planes, camping, hiking, painting, knitting, sewing, home crafts, guitar playing).
  • Pets.
  • Food and cooking.
  • Technology and games (play station, Xbox).
  • Self improvement (body building, health, memory building, mind games, becoming a better speaker).
  • Learning new skills such as a language for instance.

There are a whole host of other niche’s that I am sure you could add. These passions are very important to each of us and even if we have to sacrifice something for it, we will not in this area. All you need to do is go down to the local book store and see the range of magazines on offer at premium prices.

This will give you some ideas on what to blog on. Find something that you are passionate in, something you can share on and have knowledge about. It could even be about something you are learning this very moment and as you learn you could blog on your new found knowledge. People with medical conditions blog on tips and remedies that they find useful.

People are eager to learn new things, so what niche or passion could you start blogging on?
