Build Blog Traffic Using Both Articles And Twitter.

March 14th, 2009 ritzy 3 comments

We all want more Blog traffic and the best solution that I have found is using this simple yet effective three pronged attack using blog posts, articles and Twitter.

1. Adapting my best blog post into +- 300 word articles.

2. Publishing these articles on ezine directories that have Twitter feed.

3. Actively building a Twitter following.

More on each of these:

1. Publishing articles in a popular Ezine such as www.ezinearticles.com is a great way to exponentially explode your exposure and expertise to people interested in your topic. Why? Because they are searching for information in that category. A targeted prospect interested in your topic… Search engines such as Google have much regard for articles published here. One article of mine has being read by over 750 viewers since December and is still working for me.

2. Publishing these articles on ezine directories that have Twitter feed. Some ezines, (in the author tools section) manages your Twitter details in order to broadcast to your followers your newly published article details. Of course when they read it, in the resource box you lace it with a compelling offer to visit your blogs squeeze page for your news letter.

3. Actively building a Twitter following. On Twitter you can find an enormous amount of interested people in your niche or passion topic. These again are a targeted audience that you want frequenting your blog… so go out and follow them. What normally happens they reciprocate back. A great force to use.

These three elements, blogs, articles and Twitter are what I am concentrating on now that gets me my blog traffic.

Niche Article Writing. Using articles as “YOUR Marketing Tool” to promote an online business.

January 18th, 2009 ritzy No comments

Writing articles about your niche or for another word “passion” is a great way to start and promote an online business. You have this passion for something close to your heart and you want to share it? You may also want to earn a little extra on the side to make it a double whammy?

3 reasons why writing articles is a key to building an online business success.

1. Article writing as a marketing tool is a great free way to get out there and meet the world with your passion topic. All it takes is your time and a squeeze of your creative juices to get the ball rolling. This is because over time articles (including your authors resource box) gets copied and spread to other sites over the internet, goes “viral” so to speak with no extra effort.

2. Articles get published online on sites called ezines. The most popular that I know of is a site called ezinearticles.com. All that’s needed is a free registration. First read the rules and then submit your articles for approval. This takes about a week. Your article will be categorised according to your topic. This means it will be targeted at an audience that is interested and looking for what you offer. This gets the two of you to meet that starts that dance.

3. Articles can be crafted to help promote your name, logo, new product or anything else you wish. A direct sales pitch is out but a review could be in, such as “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly” style of approach.

More and more Smart Marketers are using articles as a tool to grow their niche online business. When opportunities come knocking it is time to ignite that passion and start sharing.

Why Use Your Blog Posts As A Source For Published Articles that Grows Your Online Presence and Success

January 15th, 2009 ritzy No comments

As Bloggers we are in a unique position to adapt our more promising blog posts as published articles on sites such as www.ezinearticles.com. These ezine websites attract a lot of attention from the search engines such as Google. This is a good place for your article to be picked up and read. :-)

1.The main reason for publishing an article is to promote your blog site or any other idea by skillfully using the resource box at the end of your article. This is where you lead the reader into the resource box and a carrot to prompt a click into something juicy on offer.

2. On these sites, articles are allowed to be copied and published else where in their complete form including your resource box. Your article is now viral and spreads with time.

3. As your article appears on other sites valuable back links are now created which increase your search engine rankings making your site further exposed to your audience. Puts your site on the map so to speak!!!

All in all published articles sourced from your blog posts are good for exposure. The more you publish, the more traffic will arrive.
Good Luck…

3 Psychological Elements to an Article Head Line That Captivate Attention and Prompts Action!!

January 6th, 2009 ritzy Comments off

Disappointed with your article success? Want surfers magnetized to your article, wanting more? Thousands of articles are published every day that don’t captivate an audience even though they a treasure trove of sugar coated nuggets. Why? Failing to optimize the article head line with treacle that attract the busy bees.

Master these 3 psychological tips that “Smart” writers use in their headlines to entice, compel and ignite readers to prompt that click. All of us need something…. and the million dollar question is- What? Your job as a writer is understanding that need and then craft your head line accordingly.

1. Identify with your audience, be up front with their need, fear, problem, desire, interest and then suggest a promise, solution or a offer that meets those needs. This suggests you understand and have aligned your article accordingly. A good example I saw once was, ” Are You developing a Pot Belly? This simple exercise that only takes 10 minutes a day….

2. Be Specific.- “3 Psychological elements….” “Copy this Easy 7 Step plan that earned $309.52 in 5 days…” This makes your article believable, that has substance worth reading. By using the words “copy” and “easy” gives confidence to the reader that they too could benefit. This forms interest and is compelling.

3. Seduce Your Audience with a promise that is just irresistible. We all want to be special, unique and above all want to benefit or get something for free. Remember always keep your promise, give value and go the extra mile…. This forms trust and a reader for life.

I suggest doing a search on your article topic and analyze successful headlines to see what captivates, prompts attention and action from you. This will give you a feel on how these psychological elements work so you to can incorporate them successfully.

Creating killer headlines is half the job, delivering quality relevant content is your next challenge in getting repeat traffic and further interest in your material. To help you I have a free PDF word book called ” The 101 most powerful words to use in creating killer blog and article content”.

Newbie Blogging Strategies to grow your on line business. Part 2

November 28th, 2008 ritzy 1 comment

Ok, so you have decided on a niche to blog on, set up a Word Press, or a Blogging account, researched your niche and started blogging using all the tips given in previous posts of this Blog.

Great…. You have found products to promote, found ways to commercialise and capitalise your blog. Now how do you find and bring visitors to your on line web site?

Other than creating interesting and relevant content, using key word rich text, the next most important topic to cover is getting BACK LINKS to your blog.

Back links:

These can be created in a number of ways. Signing up with various Forums in your niche, leaving quality comments on similar blogs ranking high in Google search results, writing articles on your subject matter, to post on various Ezine publishers such as Ezine Articles.com, and always leave your blog URL and key words to link back to your site. You want your URL on other sites but not in a way to cause spam. This is the basic HTML code that you can use on most sites to get an active back link.

<a href=”http://www.domain.com”>www.yourdomain.com</a>   will become www.yourdomain.com

You can write anything where it says www.yourdomain.com such as click here or your keyword subject title.

All this is to get the search engines coming to your site. The more relevant these sites to your niche that you link to, the better.

Another way is to set up another 4 to 5 sub niche blogs related to your MAIN NICHE. As an example: Main blog is called:” Christine’s Golden Labrador Breeding Program”. Now create other blogs around it, like “How to raise your Golden Labrador puppies the correct way” and ” Where to Finding Suitable registered Golden Labrador Males to breed with” ect.

Once you have set up and created unique content for these sub niche’s, create cross links (Back Links) as above to all these sites. The search engines will soon be crawling all over these sites bringing visitors interested in your niche. This is some hard work, but well worth it. Stay focused on this, get it right and all you have to do is keep adding fresh material to keep it interesting.

Stay tuned for more newbie blogging strategies to grow your on line business.
