       In my opinion writing articles for ezines such as www.EzineArticles.com and leaving your blog url. in the resource box is one of the greatest ways to attract traffic and quality back links to your site. To create compelling article titles you need to use the AEDB formula that incorporate psychological triggers……

The internet surfers of the infosphere want fast and instant access to coercing data. They are constantly scanning for something to click on, you have less than 3 seconds in which to grab their attention. For this reason your article title is “king” and so need to understand and incorporate the psychological triggers that follow.

The AEDB formula.  (A= attention, E= emotion, D= desire, B= benefit)

1. Attention.

To get instant attention, the psychological trigger would be to be up front with words that either, question, shock, or are controversial, cause curiosity (what killed the cat? get your audience thinking), exciting and shows enthusiasm or tease. Use bold words and odd numbers, ” now what could the top 3 be? ” or even ” The top 10 “. From time to time try to off balance your audience by being controversial like, ” 7 ways to get your Pit bull and cat to become best friends”

2. Emotion and Desire. Powerful driving forces, so use words to match.

Warning! the 7 biggest article title mistakes you can’t afford to make… Emotions such as fear, desire, greed, compassion, revulsion, hate, love can be generated using carefully selected powerful words.

3. Benefit your reader.

You need to understand what the searcher wants and then figure out a title to match their needs. Article writers biggest need is to get a audience or traffic to that article, so after deciding where to place it, the greatest hurdle is getting attention by delivering:

solve or cure a problem,

find fulfilment, in the quickest, cheapest, leased painful way. Tell them ” What’s in it for them “. Tell them what they will get.

Give handy, useful, tips, lists, reasons or psychological triggers for reading your article and so attract traffic. These are article writers secret weapons that they don’t want you to know about. Use them with care in creating your titles in future.

Ok, so you have decided on a niche to blog on, set up a Word Press, or a Blogging account, researched your niche and started blogging using all the tips given in previous posts of this Blog.

Great…. You have found products to promote, found ways to commercialise and capitalise your blog. Now how do you find and bring visitors to your on line web site?

Other than creating interesting and relevant content, using key word rich text, the next most important topic to cover is getting BACK LINKS to your blog.

These can be created in a number of ways. Signing up with various Forums in your niche, leaving quality comments on similar blogs ranking high in Google search results, writing articles on your subject matter, to post on various Ezine publishers such as Ezine Articles.com, and always leave your blog URL and key words to link back to your site. You want your URL on other sites but not in a way to cause spam. This is the basic HTML code that you can use on most sites to get an active back link.

You can write anything where it says www.yourdomain.com such as click here or your keyword subject title.

All this is to get the search engines coming to your site. The more relevant these sites to your niche that you link to, the better.

Another way is to set up another 4 to 5 sub niche blogs related to your MAIN NICHE. As an example: Main blog is called:” Christine’s Golden Labrador Breeding Program”. Now create other blogs around it, like “How to raise your Golden Labrador puppies the correct way” and ” Where to Finding Suitable registered Golden Labrador Males to breed with” ect.

Once you have set up and created unique content for these sub niche’s, create cross links (Back Links) as above to all these sites. The search engines will soon be crawling all over these sites bringing visitors interested in your niche. This is some hard work, but well worth it. Stay focused on this, get it right and all you have to do is keep adding fresh material to keep it interesting.

 Niche Blogging.

First off. Do not blog on a general topic like dogs, be more specific like “Christina’s Golden Labrador Breeding Program”.

This would be your “Niche title” or Blog title. It will be what you will be writing about in your main blog in which your expertise will be freely shared with people that will be searching for that information. Give good honest content that will be sought after by your visitors, be generous.

There are millions of websites out there with millions (and growing daily) of web searches made on a multitude of topics. The more specific you make your blog title the less competition you will have. Do not however make it so obscure that no one would be looking for it, i.e. no traffic coming to your site.

You also need to find a niche that can prove profitable. Can you solve a problem, help, give advice, facilitate in your niche? Would your visitors would be willing to pay for this service, knowledge or expertise.  People are passionate about their pets and are willing to spend in this area (even in a recession).

Use the media to get ideas on what to blog on. The Obama’s would like a family dog once they have settled in the White House. Now there is much media speculation on what breed of dog they will choose. A lot of website blogs are now coming up with ideas on what it would say about the Obama’s on their choice of a dog breed. Interest has now got every one searching on line for this information “What Your Dog Says About You”. Apparently man’s best friend offers interesting clues into their owner’s psyche. Hot Topic!!!
